Marisa Jensen
Founder & Partner, Washington, DC
Marisa Jensen is a fundraising professional with more than 17 years experience, working with a diverse range of organizations and program areas both as a practitioner and as a consultant.
Her work has established longstanding and deep client relationships, as she seeks to help clients extend their development skills and build their internal capacity to succeed beyond her involvement.
She has extensive experience in researching potential donors and strategic partners, conducting environmental scans, creating effective strategies for donor approaches, and developing complex proposals and other written materials, all of which are major assets to our clients and our firm. Marisa is highly committed to her community, participating in efforts to improve her neighborhood parks and volunteering regularly at her children's schools. A believer in the power of fair trade and microenterprise, Marisa is a former board chair of Ten Thousand Villages Atlanta.
Before starting Project Resource Group, Marisa served as Senior Associate Director of Development for health programs at The Carter Center. In this capacity, she worked with local and national community-building initiatives and domestic and international health programs in the areas of mental health, violence prevention, disease control and eradication and various interfaith health efforts. Marisa also has worked as a fundraiser for Florida Tech, the Atlanta Legal Aid Society and the National Consortium for Educational Access. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
